After I made my list I hung this list up on my shower mirror and also on my bedroom door. I wanted each day to see my reasons for changing my behavior this aided a lot since quitting smoking is a decision one has to establish day by day. As you stop smoking you have to suspect there will be times when you will error but in the times past that I backslid, I just accepted failure and started smoking full steam ahead. This time if I backslid and bought a pack of cigarettes or smoked one I begged from a friend I allowed myself forgiveness for not being perfect and started right back up.
When ever I saw the bathroom scales go up I made sure to workout more and not to substitute eating with smoking. I also rewarded myself by pampering myself with a little something I usually would not do for myself. In the event that I pay attention to careful smoking control my cigarette use always goes down. I will not say that I do not think about smoking occasionally and perhaps always will but I always prompt myself that what you save is both money and health. Your clothes do not stink of smoke your hair does not reek of smoke and you can better enjoy the food you eat.
